Modded Controllers Working In The Gears Of War 3 Beta
Since I work at Evil Controllers I've recently been given the pleasure to work with one of our controller mods designed for Gears of War 2, the Active Reload controller that we've had out for fans of Gears of War 2. I would like to add that, it just makes the game even more engaging than using an ordinary controller (don't take me the wrong way, the Gears of War franchise is fun, but it's delightful to use a rapid fire 360 controller to destroy the Locust Army).
Now you're wondering, author, does the modded controller's mods work with all the old Gears of War weapons? I can say with certainty that they do. The functions still work on all of the old Gears of War weapons that can be found in Gears of War 3 with 2 weapons that are the exceptions: The Pistol & the Hammer Burst. You can no longer use active reload's rapid fire function on the pistol, but active reload works just fine for it, and the active reload function doesn't work on the Hammer Burst weapon, although the controller's rapid fire still works.
Those are the only two weapons from the previous Gears of War that have had any issues with our Evil Controllers. You can use both functions on all the old weapons in the game besides the ones mentioned.
However, have no fear, we at Evil Controllers are working to get the Pistol and Hammer Burst to function with the controller; we are also working on how to make the newer weapons function as well. Though we don't believe that releasing a product during the Gears of War 3 Beta is a good decision, we are going to release a new Evil Controller specifically for Gears of War 3. Expect Evil Controllers to have a new product for Gears of War 3 during the game's Fall release.
In the meantime, our Active Reload controller and our rapid fire functions are working just fine in the Gears of War beta, so give your modded controllers a test spin. You're going to find it mighty enjoyable like I have.
